The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services’ (MDHHS) Program for Breast Cancer in Young Adults is hosting a free Young Breast Cancer Conference on Saturday, Jan. 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. to increase awareness of resources and services for young adults with breast cancer, survivors and their caregivers. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention defines young survivors as those diagnosed under the age of 45. The symposium is being hosted in partnership with Karmanos Cancer Institute and Gilda’s of Detroit. It is being offered in hybrid format, with a virtual option hosted via Zoom. In-person meetings will be hosted by Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit locations:

- 2470 Collingwood St. in Detroit.
