LANSING — Today, House Democratic Floor Leader Sam Singh (D- East Lansing) announced Rep. Jeremy Moss (D-Southfield) as Assistant Democratic House Floor leader along with other House Democratic leadership positions.
“I’m honored to join the House Democratic leadership team,” Moss said. “I look forward to working closely with Democratic Floor Leader Singh to ensure the values of Michigan’s middle class are protected each day on the House floor.”
Rep. Moss was recently elected to represent the 35th House District, which includes Southfield, Lathrup Village, Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms and Franklin. Before joining the Legislature, Moss served as the youngest-ever member of the Southfield City Council and worked in public policy at the state and local levels.
In his Lansing office, Rep. Moss has experienced staff to assist him and the citizens of the 35th District. Jason Hoskins, district director, is a recent graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and worked in the Legislature for former State Rep. Rudy Hobbs. Jennie Gies, legislative director, has developed public policy in the Legislature for over nine years.
“I have the utmost confidence in my team to bring a high level of service to the residents of Michigan’s 35th District. Jason and Jennie are critical components toward operating an efficient and effective office,” Moss said.
