LANSING — State Representative Frank Liberati (D-Allen Park) was appointed to serve on the House Committees on Health Policy; Families, Children, and Seniors; and Workforce and Talent Development.

“I am honored to have been appointed to these important committees. I am particularly excited about being named to the Health Policy Committee. Over the last 17 years, my wife and I have spent much of our time navigating the various sectors of the health care industry after my youngest son, Antonio, was diagnosed with the genetic disorder Fragile X Syndrome as an infant,” said Liberati. “I have a unique perspective on how to best approach the problems that the Health Policy Committee will likely review in the coming two years.”

Rep. Liberati is a small-business owner, operating Liberati’s Italian Deli and Bakery in Allen Park and serving his first term as the state representative for the 13th House District.

“I am also thrilled about my appointment to the newly created Workforce and Talent Development Committee. With my experience as a union member, working in the corporate world and later as an entrepreneur, I understand the need for thoughtfully and consciously building a business climate that is both fair and one that creates opportunities for middle-class families in Michigan,” said Liberati.
