LANSING, Mich., April 26, 2023 — The Michigan House Appropriations Committee passed the budget proposals of several Appropriations subcommittees today supporting key priorities, including police training, lead line replacement and improvements to the agricultural supply chain. State Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township), chair of the Appropriations Committee, issued the following statement:
“I’m proud of the work we’ve accomplished. The budgets we passed today set the right priorities, including funding for public safety, investments in rural communities, and support to address veteran suicide and homelessness. We’ve made great progress, and I look forward to sending a fiscally responsible budget to the governor’s desk on time.”
