Dear Friends,

Over the course of the last few days, our district has been directly impacted by the rainfall, winds and storms that have moved through Southeast Michigan. We are working with our federal, state and local partners to address any issues and are currently taking a closer look at the damage that occurred. Our team has compiled resources available to residents for assessing and reporting damages, as well as hotline numbers to call for immediate help to individuals and families facing conditions of extreme hardship or emergencies that can threaten health and safety.

We strongly urge community members to take pictures of any damages to their properties IMMEDIATELY so that the damages are evaluated as accurately as possible. Here is the link to the self-reporting survey to send damage inquiries to: https://arcg.is/10ab1j

MDHHS hotlines are available to you regarding general inquiries as well as inquires for testing drinking water to ensure it is safe for consumption:

Our team is aware that many of our community members are without power due to the severe storms. While ground teams work to restore power to the Downriver community, please utilize the information sheet FEMA provides about protecting yourself during a power outage: FEMA Power Outage Tips.

Please feel free to reach out to our office if you have any questions or need to be connected with resources – my team and I are always here to help.

Kind regards,

Rep. Churches Signature
