WAYNE — State Representative Robert L. Kosowski (D-Westland) was pleased at the turnout for his first of many events in the city of Wayne as part of his “Rep on the Road” program.
“It was great to see more than 300 residents from Wayne and Westland and to speak with them about their concerns and priorities,” Kosowski said. “I am extremely grateful to Phoenix Theatres for making this event possible and to my fellow elected officials who took the time to join me.”
Kosowski was joined by Wayne City Council members John Rhaesa and James Henley as well as Westland City Council members Christine Cicirelli Bryant and Meriem Kadi.
In addition to the film, attendees were able to meet with a representative from the Michigan Education Trust to learn about college savings plans.
“I wanted to provide families with information on how to prepare for the ever-increasing costs of higher education,” Kosowski said. “I am grateful that the Michigan Education Trust was willing to meet with families and provide guidance on how best to save for their children’s future college plans.”
The “Rep on the Road” series is looking for future additional locations. If your organization or group is interested in being included in a future event, please call (517) 373-2576.
