VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich., Dec. 4, 2023 — Late last week, the Michigan Public Service Commission approved a $368 million rate increase for DTE electricity customers. In response, state Rep. Reggie Miller (D-Van Buren Township) issued the following statement:
“I am disappointed that DTE customers in my district are going to be paying more for the same unreliable energy. Although this increase is much lower than the original $622 million request, it is unacceptable that we are paying more than our neighboring states for inferior service. I look forward to working on and voting for legislation that will bring energy costs down for our communities and improve reliability for residents.”
