“I appreciate the governor’s commitment and plans for the continued revitalization of our great state, and I look forward to working with him in the coming years to accomplish many of his goals. We have a well-intentioned governor; however, I’m concerned that the corporate fixation he has demonstrated in the past continues to skew his objectives and policies in a way that is leaving too many individuals and families out of any improvement or recovery. True revitalization must include all Michigan residents — not just the corporate elite — if it is to last. Investment in education, the arts and stronger communities and urban cores, along with an environment of social inclusiveness, are the keys to economic growth — not corporate tax giveaways.”
