“The Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund Grant appropriations provides state funding for two important Parks and Recreation projects in Southfield. The Horsetail Woods acquisition supports green infrastructure for community storm water management and the Inglenook Park renovation will provide improvements to the ball field, ADA-compliant walkways, dugouts and other park enhancements. These projects will provide better access for more people to utilize our park system and allow the city to responsibly manage our natural resources.
“I was pleased to vote in favor of the appropriation in House Bill 4078 which brings $379,800 of state funding back to the 35th House District. Now the Senate has to approve this bill and I urge them to send it to the governor’s desk.”
