LANSING — State Representative Robert Kosowski (D-Westland) and his fellow chairmen of the Health and Fitness Caucus — Rep. Klint Kesto (R-Commerce Township) and state Senators Steve Bieda (D-Warren) and Tory Rocca (R-Sterling Heights) — led the caucus’s first meeting Tuesday. Kosowski presented some health tips and discussed the goals of the caucus, which are implementing a healthy lifestyle and leading by example.
“I’m excited to get to work with my fellow lawmakers from both sides of the aisle and both chambers of the Legislature as we make Michigan a healthier state,” Kosowski said. “I look forward to setting goals to help regular folks get in shape, and to following those goals myself. We’ve got to practice what we preach.”
The meeting also featured a presentation from Allen “Buddy” Shuh, who was a contestant on the 13th season of “The Biggest Loser.” Shuh spoke to the caucus about getting fit, staying fit and finding motivation.
