Hello,
Welcome to the May 2024 edition of my monthly Capitol and Community updates. I’m honored to serve as our community’s voice at the Capitol in Lansing. My dedication to serving you and the 18th House District is my top priority.
We are in the thick of budget season here in Lansing, and I am hard at work to make sure the priorities we fund match your priorities at home. Our goal is for this budget to improve the quality of life for Michiganders by bettering child welfare, public assistance, behavioral health, aging services and public health. These changes will bring dollars to our community where people will see and feel the difference.
Read until the end to stay up to date with my legislative activity. Also, I have added links to department-specific informational pages on grants and loans for those seeking aid from the state. As always, I want to encourage you, again, to please reach out to my office to make your voice heard. Please contact me at JasonHoskins@house.mi.gov or call (517) 373-1180. Democracy only works so long as the people are heard, and you have my promise — whether we agree or not — that my staff and I will always be here to listen to the voices of constituents.
Thank you,
Jason Hoskins
State Representative
