LANSING – State Representative John Kivela (D-Marquette) was proud to stand with two first responders from the Upper Peninsula at the House of Representative’s Sept. 11 memorial ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 10. Representatives commemorated those lost in the 2001 attacks and recognized first responders serving in Michigan communities today.
“It was an honor to be with these first responders at our Sept. 11 ceremony, where we reflect on the sacrifice that so many first responders and service members gave for our nation,” said Kivela. “The brave men and woman that dedicate their lives and those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our country deserve our deepest respect and gratitude.”
