“I am glad that the Michigan House of Representatives overwhelming passed a bill that would allow local units of government the flexibility to schedule a local millage election on the day of the Republican presidential primary, March 8, 2016. House Bill 4904 would clarify the intent of the original presidential primary election bill to allow locals to piggyback on an already scheduled election and save taxpayer funds in the process.”
