Statement from state Representative Pam Faris (D-Clio) on the approval of a second federal waiver allowing the Healthy Michigan Plan to continue:

“I applaud the Obama administration’s decision to grant another waiver that allows the Healthy Michigan Plan to continue providing health coverage to 600,000 residents of our state. This was an issue where both parties came together to pass legislation to help the people of Michigan. I was proud to join my colleagues to vote in favor of Medicaid expansion, and I’m happy to see it continue improving the lives of Michigan’s hardworking men and women.”
