For the third year in a row, House Democratic Whip and state Representative Robert Kosowski (D-Westland) will be partnering with Westland Mayor William Wild and a local nonprofit to help veterans on Thanksgiving.

Kosowski will team up with Wild and Vic Barra, president of the nonprofit, to provide frozen turkeys along with an entire Thanksgiving dinner to any veteran. Veterans who reside in the cities of Wayne or Westland are encouraged to call the office of Kosowski or Wild to register for a turkey. The turkeys will be distributed Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 2-6 p.m. at 1661 N. Wayne Road in Westland. Those who want to participate must be registered by Monday, Nov. 21.

For any questions, or to register, please call Kosowski’s office at (517) 373-2576 or (855) 600-BOBK, or Wild’s office at (734) 467-3200.
