KALAMAZOO — State Rep. Jon Hoadley (D-Kalamazoo) recently announced and welcomed Melissa Fish as his newest legislative aide. Fish will be responsible for leading constituent services and will be based in Kalamazoo.
“I’m excited to welcome Melissa to the team serving residents of the 60th House District,” said Rep. Hoadley. “Her skills and experience as a collaborator and her background in social work will be a great fit for this position.”
Fish joins Rep. Hoadley’s office after a successful tenure at the Kalamazoo Community Foundation. There, she served as the coordinator for the Learning Network of Greater Kalamazoo, an education initiative of the Kalamazoo Community Foundation. Fish will be based out of the District Service Office located at 315 N. Burdick Street in Kalamazoo.
The District Service Office is the oldest continually running in-district service office in the state. Founded in 1973, the 60th District Service Office is a nonprofit corporate entity established for the purpose of providing Kalamazoo area residents with direct access to their government and increasing the responsiveness of the government to their needs and concerns. Services are provided without fee on an entirely nonpartisan basis.
