LANSING — State Rep. Sara Cambensy (D-Marquette) was sworn in officially today as representative for the 109th House District for the 2019-2020 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Rep. Cambensy issued the following statement:
“I am extraordinarily grateful that the people of the Upper Peninsula have placed their trust in me to be their voice in Lansing. No matter how far our families may be from the Capitol, we all want to see more job opportunities for Michigan workers, lower auto insurance rates and improved access to health care. I’m ready to continue the work I started last term to create a better quality of life for families of the U.P. and all Michiganders.”
