LANSING — State Rep. Darrin Camilleri (D-Brownstown Township) was sworn in officially today as representative for the 23rd House District for the 2019-2020 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Rep. Camilleri issued the following statement:
“I am eager to continue our fight for working families across Downriver. For too long, our state’s hardworking men and women have been held back from opportunities for success by an administration that prioritized corporate profits over everyday people. Today, we have new leadership on our side and a Governor to work with to advance our values in the state capitol. I’m proud to join my colleagues in fighting to ensure Michiganders have the strong paychecks, quality schools, and safe roads they deserve.”
