LANSING — Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced today the creation of an Elder Abuse Task Force to review issues affecting seniors across the state. The AG will chair the task force alongside members, including state Rep. Brian K. Elder (D-Bay City), who was appointed to the Policy and Legislation Committee within the task force. In response, Rep. Elder issued the following statement:
“We have an obligation as a society to ensure the wellbeing of our most vulnerable citizens. This task force will allow us to take a thorough look at how we are protecting seniors in our communities and develop strategies for strengthening our efforts wherever necessary. I am honored to have an opportunity to serve Michiganders in this important capacity.”
