MUSKEGON — The Michigan State Housing Development Authority recently announced it will be awarding a Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) to an affordable housing development in Muskegon. “Ten21 Apartments” will receive an annual $1.5 million LIHTC to assist in the development of a parking lot on the corner of Apple Ave. and Jefferson St. consisting of 73 units of affordable housing. State Rep. Terry Sabo (D-Muskegon) issued the following statement in response:
“I am extremely pleased to see the recent investment, both public and private, in the revitalization of Muskegon,” Sabo said. “We have seen a historic shortage of affordable housing, and programs like this will help pave the way for hard-working families to achieve financial stability and have a place to call home.”
