LANSING — State Representative Robert L. Kosowski (D-Westland), Democratic Vice Chairman of the House Tourism Committee, and Rep. Charles Brunner (D-Bay City), another committee member, said today they are pleased with the end of using Pure Michigan to trumpet political issues. LANSING — House Democratic Leader Tim Greimel (D-Auburn Hills) and State Representative Jim Townsend (D-Royal Oak) announced today the beginning of the listening tour that the House Democratic Caucus is taking across Michigan. Representatives from all corners of the state will be meeting with citizens to hear how the House Republicans’ priorities over the last two years have affected them.

"Gov. Rick Snyder made the right call in deciding to accept federal dollars to expand Michigan's Medicaid program. Currently, 12.7 percent of all of Michigan's adults have no health care insurance at all, and thousands more have minimal coverage. By accepting federal funds to expand Medicaid, many of those people will soon have access to the best health care in the world. LANSING - Despite Republican claims that Michigan is undergoing a turnaround, House Democratic Leader Tim Greimel (D-Auburn Hills) said today that Michigan’s middle-class families are struggling to pay higher taxes and find good-paying jobs while corporations are enjoying massive corporate tax breaks.
