It includes substantial investments in Michigan students, local economies and the safety and wellbeing of Michiganders. House Dems are reinforcing their commitment to building stronger hometowns and investing in working Michiganders. After the vote, state Rep. Joey Andrews (D-St. Joseph) issued the following statement:

“Our budget is about providing opportunities for hard-working Michiganders. This budget brings dollars back to our cities, reinvesting in our hometowns. We are allocating $200 million toward affordable housing, ensuring every Michigander has a safe place to call home. I am proud of our commitment to our communities, these investments will not only help families today, they pave the way for a fulfilling future.”
