Lawmaker applauds passage of Michigan Natural Resource Trust Fund appropriations
LANSING, Mich., May 14, 2025 — State Rep. Joey Andrews (D-St. Joseph) spoke in favor of House Bill 4392 today, urging his colleagues to support the bill’s passage. This appropriations bill would provide funding for numerous projects to enhance the state’s environment and improve recreational opportunities for residents. After the bill’s passage, Andrews issued the following statement:
“Securing $650,000 for our community through this appropriation is more than just an investment in parks, it’s an investment in people. These dollars will help transform our public spaces into more accessible and more welcoming environments for families, children and seniors alike. Whether it’s building stronger neighborhoods, promoting public health or preserving green spaces for future generations, this funding represents real, lasting change. I’m proud to stand behind legislation that delivers resources where they’re needed and brings investments to our community.”
