LANSING — State Rep. Sarah Anthony (D-Lansing) hosted members of the Athena Women’s Interest Network (WIN) this week to provide an in-depth look at the state Legislature and a tour of the Capitol. House Democratic Leader Christine Greig (D-Farmington Hills) and Rep. Donna Lasinski (D-Scio Township) were also in attendance to share their professional journeys and how their experience in business shaped who they are today.

“When women have a seat at the table, we accomplish great things as a community,” said Anthony. “The best solutions to our toughest problems are created in rooms full of diverse and unique perspectives. That’s why we need women at policy, negotiating and decision-making tables. This group of Lansing-area women represent the future leaders of our state and I am proud to amplify their voices at the Capitol.”

As an organization active in the Greater Lansing area, WIN works to develop and encourage women to pursue positions of leadership while offering professional development opportunities.
