DOWNRIVER — State Rep. Darrin Camilleri (D-Brownstown Township) commemorated Teacher Appreciation Week by personally delivering donuts to schools across the 23rd House District. Earlier this week, Rep. Camilleri also sent letters to every school throughout the district thanking their teachers for their service and commitment to the community.

“This week, and every week, I am grateful for the hard work of educators across our district as they uplift our young people by ensuring they are on a path to a successful, meaningful life,” Rep. Camilleri said. “I owe much of my own success to the dedicated teachers who believed in me, and as a former teacher, I know how much they sacrifice for our kids. We should take every opportunity we can to let our teachers know that we appreciate all their tireless work.”

Rep. Camilleri also announced this week that music teacher Brenda Bressler from Renton Junior High in New Boston is the 23rd District’s May Teacher of the Month for her devotion to sharing music and joy with her students.
