LANSING, Mich., March 4, 2021 — Yesterday, state Rep. Sara Cambensy (D-Marquette) voted in favor of the proposed COVID-19 supplemental that allocates more funding for efforts such as vaccine rollouts, helping schools return to in-person learning, and providing relief to small businesses. Following the vote, Cambensy issued the following statement:

“Even though the total amount of federal COVID relief available to Michigan were not voted on today, I was proud to vote yes on the appropriation bills that will put money towards our public schools, local government, those facing evictions and utility shut-offs, our small businesses and vaccine distribution. This money gives each region the security they need immediately to continue helping those who need it most. I look forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle and the governor to pass the remaining amount of federal COVID relief in the coming weeks.”
