FLAT ROCK — Today, Ford Motor Company announced its plan to relocate more than 1,000 jobs from its Flat Rock Assembly Plant to other area plants in Livonia and Dearborn. In response, state Rep. Darrin Camilleri (D-Brownstown Township) issued the following statement:

“While this is far from an ideal situation, I appreciate Ford acknowledging the tremendous work done for their company by Michigan labor, and an effort is being made to respect that work through relocation. I applaud Ford’s efforts to keep these jobs in the metro Detroit region and intend to hold them accountable to ensure the families that are impacted by this transition do indeed receive the jobs they’ve been promised.”
