The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that vaccinated individuals wear masks indoors in areas with high or substantial COVID-19 transmission rates. Ingham County is one of 33 counties in Michigan where indoor masks are now recommended. Getting vaccinated remains the best way to protect yourself from COVID-19, including the hyper-transmissible delta variant. You can find a vaccine appointment in your area here.

Last night, I attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly named Terry J. Brail Community Hall on the Ingham County Fairgrounds. Terry served for 15 years as the executive director of the Ingham County Fair. Under Terry’s leadership, significant improvements were made to the grounds while increasing fair revenue. He passed away last year, but his dedication and passion for our community will be remembered.
