If you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to contact my office at any time by emailing SarahAnthony@house.mi.gov or calling 517-373-0826.

August Walk Day

I work for you, and it remains vitally important for me to hear directly from you and your neighbors about what our community needs to truly thrive. I hope you will join us on Monday, Aug. 30, at 2 p.m. for some door-to-door outreach in one of our city’s vibrant neighborhoods. Summer is a great time to connect with one another while enjoying some fresh air and exercise. Please RSVP with my office or by clicking here by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, and we will follow up with a meeting location.

Back-to-School Welcome

It’s hard to believe that the 2021-22 school year is already upon us. The first day of school for the Lansing School District is Monday, Aug. 30. Everett High School, my alma mater, has put out a call for volunteers to greet students on the first day of school. There are time slots available throughout the day, from 7 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. If you’re interested in helping out, you can sign up here. I hope to see you there bright and early!

City of Lansing Expungement Clinic

The city of Lansing is hosting an Expungement Clinic and Community Resource Fair at Letts Community Center on Friday, Sept. 10. This event is open to the public, but individuals interested in expunging a criminal conviction are encouraged to pre-register by today, Aug. 20. You can register at https://bit.ly/3CyWZOz.

September Coffee Hour

I am excited to announce that our next constituent coffee hour will take place on Thursday, Sept. 16, from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Alfreda Schmidt Southside Community Center (5825 Wise Road) OR virtually via Zoom. Please RSVP here and indicate if you would like the Zoom login information emailed to you.

We will be joined by special guest Ellery Sosebee, Interim Chief of Police at Lansing Police Department. Coffee hours are a great opportunity to talk to my team and me about any issues on your mind regarding state government or challenges facing the Lansing community. We will also give an update on recent activity in our office and in the state Capitol. Feel free to contact our office with any questions or if you would like more information.
