Dear Neighbor,

I hope this email finds you healthy and rejuvenated after this holiday season. As we move ahead into 2022, I wanted to take a moment to wish you and your family a very happy new year.

Before our schedules heat up again, I encourage you to reflect on one small way you can make a difference in your neighborhood or in the Lansing community at large. I am so proud to call this city home, and there’s no telling what we can accomplish when we work together.

It remains my privilege and honor to serve you. Please know your feedback is always welcome with my team. Feel free to reach out at any time if we can be of assistance.

In Service,

Sarah

The People’s Agenda: 2022

Thank you to everyone who has already completed our new year’s survey. For those of you who haven’t yet, there is still time to participate!

I want to hear from you about the most pressing issues facing our community. Results are confidential and will be used to better inform my legislative agenda and policy platform for the coming year. You can access the survey directly here.

Upcoming Constituent Hours

Each month, I host constituent hours as an informal opportunity for Lansing residents to engage with me directly and learn more about what I am doing in the Capitol on your behalf.

I’m excited to invite you to our first constituent event of the year, a virtual happy hour on Jan. 27 at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. RSVP here to receive the login information 24 hours prior to the event. I look forward to seeing you there! Please bring any questions you may have and a cup of tea or glass of wine to enjoy together.

New COVID Testing Location

I wanted to make sure you heard about the new COVID-19 testing location inside MSU’s Spartan Stadium. Testing is available for students, MSU community members and the general public. The new testing site is located at Spartan Stadium in Concourse B and will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with a closure for lunch at 1-1:45 p.m. Patients can expect results by 9 a.m. the next morning.

Walk-ups are welcome and will be directed to register on-site. To make an appointment, visit NxGen scheduler, choose your date and time, and check in upon arrival.

The cost of the test at this location will be billable to insurance for those with symptoms or exposure. Patients will be asked to sign into a portal and choose the desired delivery for results via text or email. Uninsured patients are covered by the CARES ACT and will use their driver’s license number or social security number to register.

As we continue to battle the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, including the omicron variant, remember to always do your part to keep yourself and others safe. For the latest information about the state’s pandemic response, visit https://www.michigan.gov/coronavirus/.
