Operation Good Cheer Celebrates 50 Years

On Friday, I presented a tribute to Operation Good Cheer in honor of its 50th anniversary. Since its founding in 1971, this organization has generously donated holiday gifts to children, teens, and adults with disabilities who live in foster care, group homes, and residential treatment facilities. Thank you to the management, staff and all of the wonderful volunteers at Operation Good Cheer and Child and Family Charities for making Christmas wishes come true for thousands of Michiganders every year. I’m pictured here with Sherry Brackenwagen, the Director of Operation Good Cheer.
