LANSING UPDATE

Legislation Update

The past few weeks in Lansing have been exciting for my office as I have had movement on a few of my bills. Both of my bills, House Bill 4252 and HB 5663, passed out of the Michigan House. These bills would respectively update and determine traffic control device maintenance costs and amend the requirements to obtain a commercial driver’s license to match the current federal requirements.

These bills have been transferred over to the Michigan Senate, where they are waiting to be voted on.

Infrastructure Survey

We want to hear from you! The House Dems want to hear from constituents about how and where to spend federal infrastructure funding. The page hosts a survey that lets people choose what their community needs to be added or upgraded. Follow the link below to let us know what you would like to see us do to improve District 50!

Recent Coffee Hours

Thank you to those of you who showed up to my most recent coffee hours! I always appreciate getting to hear and connect with constituents.

March Is Reading Month

Throughout the month of March, I have been stopping by elementary schools throughout the 50th House District to read to different third-grade classes for March Is Reading Month! It is so important for our state to encourage young people to partake in and enjoy reading. I want to thank all of the schools who have allowed me the privilege to stop by and read to their students!

If you haven’t got the chance to stop by yet, I hope to see you there!
