House Bills

Senate Bill 627: The content of this bill focused on the Michigan-Indiana state border. SB 627 seeks to establish a Michigan-Indiana State Line Commission within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA). SB 627 was passed in the House and has now moved back to the Senate. Please read more about this bill here.

Committees

In late April, I proposed a budget amendment to increase funding for the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is the oldest and largest African-American museum in the country. It holds more African-American artifacts than any other museum in the world. Unfortunately, it was not accepted.
