Governor’s Appointments Division Openings There are many open opportunities to serve on boards and commissions for our state. Please reach out to our office with any questions or concerns. Applications and openings can be found here. Saginaw Conservation Board Opening There is currently an opening on the Saginaw Conservation Board of Directors. The appointee will serve a term that expires March 21, 2027. The Saginaw Conservation District Board of Directors is comprised of five board members. Each member is elected by the registered voters of the district to serve a 4-year term. Applicants for the vacant position must be registered voters who reside in Saginaw County. The deadline for submitting applications for this vacancy is 4:30 p.m. on June 9. If you know of someone in Saginaw County who is qualified and may be interested in serving, please share this information with them and ask them to reach out to our office or directly to Heather Hart at (989) 781-1720, ext. 5. Grant Opportunity: COPS Hiring Program The Department of Justice (DOJ) 2025 COPS Hiring Program (CHP) is now open for applications. The CHP is a competitive program that provides funding directly to law enforcement agencies to hire new or rehire additional career law enforcement officers and to increase their community policing capacity and crime-prevention efforts. Expungement Fair: June 13, noon Expungement fairs are opportunities to review criminal convictions with on-site volunteer attorneys for potentially expungable convictions. Having criminal convictions expunged can aid a resident in securing employment, housing and other benefits available to those without a criminal record. We are pleased to offer a pre-registration process this time around at this this link. Let my office know if there are any questions. |
