Constituent Resources
Unemployment Benefit Back Payments
Nearly 48,000 Michiganders are receiving retroactive unemployment payments following a review of their claims based on new, higher weekly benefit rates signed into law in December. Totaling $34 million, the back payments were issued after a thorough review by the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA).
Claimants should check their Michigan Web Account Manager account for a Monetary Redetermination Letter. This letter explains the increase in payments based on the difference between the old and new maximum benefit. Claimants also will receive a copy of the letter mailed to the address listed on their account.

Community Update
Team Pohutsky in Your Neighborhood
It is crucial to make the voices of our communities heard in Lansing. As the Legislature transitions to an in-district work period, my staff and I have hit the ground running on our door-to-door legislative check-ins. So far, we have had great conversations with our neighbors about the importance of investing in education, repairing our economy and expanding access to quality, affordable health care. My team and I will be out in the district throughout the summer, and we look forward to meeting you!
Summer 2025 Michigan Activity Pass
If you are over the age of 60 in Wayne, Oakland or Macomb Counties, you could qualify for free round-trip transportation to Michigan Activity Pass (MAP) destinations across Southeast Michigan. Head to miactivitypass.org with your library card, book your ticket to your chosen designation and follow the transportation prompt to schedule your drop off and pick up.
MAP provides Michigan library cardholders with the opportunity to discover and explore participating cultural destinations, parks and recreation areas in the state. For more information you can check out MAP’s Resource Center here.
