Road to Restoration Driver’s License Clinic to Be Held in Lansing

The Road to Restoration Driver’s License Clinic provides residents an opportunity to learn how to restore their driver’s license privileges. The Lansing clinic will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Union Missionary Baptist Church, (500 S. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Lansing). This clinic is free and not limited to Lansing area residents. Pre-registration is recommended so that eligibility can be determined prior to the clinic date. City of Lansing Holds Fourth Annual Coat Drive

The city of Lansing’s fourth annual Coat Drive is taking place now through Oct. 31. New or gently used coats, hats and gloves can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Lansing City Hall: 124 W. Michigan Ave.
  • Foster Community Center: 200 N. Foster Ave.
  • Gier Community Center: 2400 Hall St.
  • Schmidt Community Center: 5825 Wise Road
  • Letts Community Center: 1220 W. Kalamazoo St.

Coats will be distributed at the Community Connect event on Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Additional details will be provided before the event. Find out more information at LansingMI.gov/Community.

Reminder: Oct. 17 is the Individual Income Tax Extension Deadline

Taxpayers who requested an extension to file their individual income tax returns must submit those returns by Oct. 17. Returns can be sent through the U.S. Postal Service or e-filed. Find more information about state income taxes at michigan.gov/incometax. Select “Access eServices” to ask questions about your state income taxes.
