I hope that you are enjoying the beginning of fall and the beauty of Michigan this season! In this e-news, I will be letting you know about my upcoming community conversation and the start of my maternity leave. As a note, after Saturday, Oct. 8, I will be unable to update you on social media or send out other mass communications like this e-news due to House rules. Community Conversation
I will be having my last community conversation of the year on Oct. 20 from 5-6 p.m. at the Oak Park Library. Please stop by for an update on what has been going on in Lansing and to share any ideas you have for legislation. I hope to see you there!
Maternity Leave
At the end of this month or the beginning of November, I will be starting my maternity leave. I am currently expecting twin boys and will be taking some time with them after they are born. My staff will be able to help you with any concerns that you have, and I anticipate returning to the Legislature by early January.
