WYANDOTTE, Mich., Aug. 23, 2023 — State Rep. Jaime Churches (D-Wyandotte) joined state and local officials today on a stop of the “Make it in Michigan” Tour. The tour stop aimed to spread awareness of the positive impacts the 2023-24 state budget has on her community — specifically highlighting the funding for the 3131 Biddle Redevelopment Project in Wyandotte.
“This tour was a great opportunity for us to see, when given necessary funding, how our community members can benefit from redevelopment projects in the Downriver area,” Churches said. “I was honored to stand alongside many state and local leaders to discuss how the project has been going so far with our site developers and what we can look forward to for its future development.”
In addition to the investments for the 3131 Biddle Redevelopment Project, Churches, along with her colleagues, secured more than $50M in investments for the Downriver area. These funds will invest in vital projects that support infrastructure and transportation upgrades, workforce training and development, education and access to clean drinking water.
