LANSING, Mich., Jan. 31, 2025 — House committee assignments for Michigan’s 103rd Legislature were announced yesterday. State Rep. Betsy Coffia (D-Traverse City) was named as a member of the Energy Committee and the Economic Competitiveness Committee. After the announcement, Coffia issued the following statement:
“Serving on the Energy and Economic Competitiveness committees is an opportunity to advocate for policies that strengthen our local economy, support small businesses and workers, and ensure a sustainable energy future for the Great Lakes State. Northern Michigan’s communities need a balanced approach that fosters economic growth while protecting our state’s natural resources. I look forward to working with my colleagues to advance solutions that create good-paying jobs, lower energy costs, and build a more resilient economy for all Michiganders.”
