LANSING – State Representative George T. Darany (Dearborn) will host an informative town hall on Friday, March 2 at 10 a.m. at the Henry Ford Centennial Library Auditorium, 16301 Michigan Ave. in Dearbornto answer residents’ questions on the recent changes to the state tax structure. The Representative will be joined by State Representatives Bob Constan (Dearborn Heights), Andrew J. Kandrevas, (Southgate), Phil Cavanagh (Redford Township), Dian Slavens (Canton Township) Douglas A. Geiss (Taylor) and Wayne County Commission Chairman Gary Woronchak. Community members can find out more about the changes, connect with resources that might be helpful as they prepare for the new tax system, and share their thoughts on the new tax burden imposed on Michigan families. The Accounting Aid Society, Mitch Bean from Great Lakes Economic Consulting and Renell Weathers from the Michigan League for Human Services will also be in attendance to discuss the changes with residents.
