This month is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence is a pattern of behaviors used by one partner to maintain power and control in a relationship. Often, multiple forms of abuse are present. It is important to know behaviors to look for to seek support for self or others.

Michigan’s 24/7 hotline provides live, one-on-one crisis support for all victims, survivors, support people and professionals who serve those experiencing domestic violence. The hotline is free and provides local support and assistance for each unique situation guided by trained advocates.
