Michigan’s new gun laws went into effect on Feb. 13. Part of the changes include the creation of Extreme Risk Protection Orders (ERPOs). ERPOs are a temporary tool that would temporarily prohibit the possession and purchase of firearms by people who pose significant danger to themselves or others. Anyone can file an ERPO.
