Last week the House adopted my resolution, House Resolution 32, to recognize March 2017 as Ethnic and Cultural Heritage Month in the state of Michigan*.

For many years, the city of Royal Oak has been recognizing March as an opportunity to celebrate the renewal and enrichment of the many different individuals who have chosen to come to Michigan, become citizens, and call this state their home.
