GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., May 15, 2023 — State Rep. John Fitzgerald (D-Wyoming) and Attorney General Dana Nessel visited several local Wyoming and Grand Rapids facilities on Friday to connect with community members. Among their stops were the Kent County Veterans Treatment Court, the Conductive Learning Center, the Cook Art Center and the Cook Library.

“This was a fantastic opportunity to meet with neighborhood community members and leaders in Wyoming and the greater Grand Rapids area,” Fitzgerald said. “I want to extend my sincere gratitude to Attorney General Nessel for graciously joining; her visit helps bring exposure to our local elected leaders and to the concerns of our community. We were able to meet and speak with many amazing folks. One of our stops was the Treatment Court — these courts are an important part of our justice system, because they help veterans find important resources and bond with fellow community members. Days like this allow me to even better understand the fabric of our community, so that, as a legislator, I can best advocate for social justice for all Michigan residents.”
