Dear Friend,

I know that many of you were hit again by flooding last weekend. To help with cleanup, the city of Detroit will be giving out free mops, brooms, trash bags, sponges, buckets and cleaner to those affected by the recent flooding tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Flood Emergency Response Supply Distribution will take place at:

  • The Samaritan Center, located at 5555 Conner St. in Detroit.
  • The Patton Recreation Center, located at 2301 Woodmere St. in Detroit.
  • New Providence Baptist Church, located at 18211 Plymouth Road in Detroit.

 All locations will be giving away one supply kit per household.
