LANSING, Mich., Jan 8, 2025 — The Michigan House of Representatives kicked off the 103rd Legislative term today. Four new Democratic members attended their first session day at the Capitol. One of those members, state Rep. Morgan Foreman (D-Pittsfield Township), returned to the House as a state member after previously serving her community as a legislative staffer. As a state representative, her policy priorities include better education, consumer protection, assisting seniors and safeguarding fundamental rights. After today’s session, Foreman issued the following statement:
“I’m elated to be back at the Capitol working for all Michiganders and especially the district I represent. With my past experience, I know what it takes to be an impactful and efficient leader. I am committed to being an active leader throughout my term — one that takes initiative and continues working to build a better Michigan. Today is a new beginning for many here, and I’m looking forward to working together to create productive days ahead.”
