LANSING, Mich., Sept. 22, 2021 — The Michigan House of Representatives passed a budget that includes historic investments in health care, child care and infrastructure. It also provides $500,000 for Taylor Fire Department Apparatus. State Rep. Alex Garza (D-Taylor) issued the following statement in support of the budget’s passage:

“I am pleased that my colleagues and I could come to a bipartisan agreement to finalize the budget and bring money back to our community. The $500,000 will be a tremendous help to the brave first responders at the Taylor Fire Department. This budget shows that when we put aside our political differences and focus on the people, the Michigan Legislature can come together and provide substantial change for our great state.”
