LANSING — The House passed the revised House Bill 4311 today as part of the final version of the gaming package to secure additional online gaming revenue for Detroit to support job generation, public safety initiatives and neighborhood development programs. In response, state Rep. Sherry Gay-Dagnogo (D-Detroit), Chair of the Detroit Caucus, issued the following statement:

“I am incredibly proud of my fellow Detroit Caucus Members and the work we did to ensure these provisions would be included. It was a long road to get here but a truly collaborative effort between legislators, city officials, stakeholders and community members.

“This has the potential to have a significant, positive impact on our community and the people who call Detroit home. My caucus members and I urge city councilmembers to work with the Detroit city administration to guarantee these dollars are allocated to the neighborhood projects that will have the biggest impact.”
