LANSING, Mich. Oct. 7, 2024 — State Rep. Carol Glanville’s (D-Walker) bill to rename a portion of M-11 as the Korean War Veterans Memorial Drive was signed into law last week by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer. The bill received strong support from Korean War Veterans Association Chapter 306. Following the signing, Glanville issued the following statement:
“The brave men and women who served in the Korean War deserve to be remembered. Renaming this stretch of M-11 as the ‘Korean War Veterans Memorial Drive’ is another step toward honoring their sacrifice and ensuring that their service is recognized and respected for generations to come. I am proud to support this effort to pay tribute to our veterans and their enduring legacy in our community.”
