LANSING, Mich., May 4, 2023 — The House of Representatives passed House Bill 4238 yesterday. This bill contains investments in Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund capital outlay projects. There are 15 land acquisition projects funded at $15 million and 30 land development projects totaling $8.3 million, including $300,000 for an expansion to the Albion River Trail. After the vote, state Rep. Jim Haadsma (D-Battle Creek) issued the following statement:
“This is very exciting news for our community. I was most certainly glad to vote in favor of these funds that will be used to further develop and expand the Albion River Trail. Now community members have even more reason to enjoy this beautiful outdoor space. It’s a perfect spot for a walk or a bike ride while taking in the splendid scenery and fresh air.”
